The Method Follows the Research Question

Before selecting an analytical method, we review the research question, study design, data structure, and assumptions. We then interpret the findings and report them to the required publication standard.

Research Disciplines

Your Field Shapes the Statistical Approach

Research disciplines differ in study design, measurement, accepted analytical methods, and reporting standards. A clinical trial, psychology study, and economics model may use some of the same techniques, but the assumptions, effect measures, and interpretation expected by each field are not identical.

We review those disciplinary requirements before the analysis begins. Your research question, design, data structure, and publication requirements guide the method selection, assumption checks, interpretation, and reporting format used for the study.

How It Works

A Defined Process for Your Research

Your project is reviewed before any work begins, so the scope, timeline, deliverables, and fixed price are clear before you decide to proceed.

01

Share Your Project

Share your research aim and whatever materials are available at this stage. We will let you know if anything else is needed to assess the project.

02

Receive Your Assessment

Your statistically trained Research Coordinator reviews the project and confirms the required work, timeline, deliverables and fixed project price.

03

Your Analysis Is Completed & Delivered

Once you confirm the quote, an in-house statistician completes the agreed analysis. Your Research Coordinator manages the project and delivery.

RESEARCHER FEEDBACK

What Researchers Say

Anonymized feedback from researchers who have worked with our statisticians.

“We came with a retrospective real-world data study rather than a single analysis request. OnlineSPSS handled the data preparation, outcome and survival analyses, interpretation, and manuscript-ready tables. The work was clearly documented and easy for our team to take forward.”

Clinical Research Team

Oncology & Real-World Data · United States

“My doctoral study used a mixed methods design, and I needed support with both the quantitative analysis and the interview data. The statistical results and thematic analysis were brought together clearly, which made the integration of the findings much easier when I came to write the results and discussion.”

Doctoral Researcher

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences · United Kingdom

“Our prospective study involved repeated measurements across several time points. The analysis included data checks, multiple imputation, mixed-effects modeling, figures, and interpretation. The final report was structured for publication and gave us a clear basis for preparing the manuscript.”

Academic Integrity

What Does Academic Integrity Require of a Statistical Consultant?

"A defined role, work that remains entirely yours, and complete confidentiality."

Our role is limited to the statistical and analytical support we agree on. We claim no authorship or rights over your work, and your project information is handled confidentially throughout the engagement.

Read Our Academic Integrity Policy
01
Statistical consulting is part of established research practice.

Universities maintain statistical consulting units. Hospitals and clinical research teams work with biostatisticians. Journal authorship standards, including the ICMJE recommendations, set out how published research acknowledges analytical contributions.

02
Authorship and scholarly responsibility remain yours.

You retain your research questions, the design decisions, the academic argument, and the conclusions. Our in-house statisticians provide the technical and analytical support.

03
Every engagement is strictly confidential.

We operate under full NDA. No information about your project, your institution or your identity is shared under any circumstances.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions About Our Statistical Analysis Services

OnlineSPSS.com is a statistical analysis service for academic, clinical, and applied research. We support researchers from study planning through analysis, interpretation, and reporting, with projects completed by our in-house statisticians. You do not need to create an account to get started; simply submit your project through our assessment form.

The initial project assessment is free and carries no obligation to proceed. Because research projects differ in design, data, analytical complexity, and deliverables, each project is reviewed individually. We then provide a fixed project fee based on the agreed scope before any work begins.

We aim to review new project requests and respond the same day. Your Research Coordinator will assess the information provided and confirm the proposed scope, deliverables, timeline, and fixed project fee. Once you approve the project, the agreed analysis is assigned to and completed by an in-house statistician. Complex projects may require additional information before the assessment can be finalized.

Your research data, project documents, personal information, and institutional details are handled confidentially and only as required to provide the agreed service. Access is limited to those involved in your project, and an NDA is available on request.

We support quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research, including study design, power and sample size analysis, statistical modeling, meta-analysis, interpretation, reporting, and independent statistical review. We work across a wide range of statistical and research software, including SPSS, R, Stata, SAS, AMOS, SmartPLS, NVivo, MAXQDA, and other specialist platforms selected according to the requirements of the project.

You can contact your Research Coordinator if you need clarification or revisions after delivery. Requests that fall within the agreed project scope are reviewed against the original deliverables. Any additional analysis, new requirements, or revisions outside the agreed scope may involve an additional fee, which will be confirmed with you before further work begins.
